Ambassador of India to Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

          On 2 September 2016, H.E. Mr. Bhagwant Singh Bishnoi, Ambassador of India to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

          The Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador of India on his assumption of duty. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current cordial bilateral relations, particularly the frequent exchanges of high level visits between Thailand and India in 2016. This has culminated in a very successful visit to India of the Prime Minister of Thailand from 16 to 18 June 2016.  The Foreign Minister reiterated the invitation from the Thai side to H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, to attend the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit to be held from 8 to 10 October 2016 in Bangkok. 

          Both sides discussed various activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and India in 2016. The Ambassador of India expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for supporting the India-Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Motor Rally (IMT), one of important activities of cooperation between the two countries.
