Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo presided over the opening ceremony of the 24th Thai Festival Tokyo

On 11 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, presided over the opening ceremony of the 24th Thai Festival Tokyo. It was such an honour to have the presence of H.E. Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Masahiro Komura, Vice Parliamentary Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Chote Trachu, Chairman of the Board of Tourism Authority of Thailand at the ceremony. Over 270 invited guests, including Team Thailand, diplomatic corps, representatives from both Thai and Japanese public and private sectors as well as Friends of Thailand, attended the ceremony.
 
This year the Thai Festival in Tokyo took place from 11-12 May 2024 under the theme of "Thai Entertainment." A large number of Japanese and foreigner queued up for Thai cuisine and Thai products, and for the performances throughout 2 days. The Thai Entertainment Land Pavilion which showcased various Thai entertainment exhibitions, and pants for provinces of Thailand drew significant interest from the attendees. Moreover, this year's event garnered attention from Japanese television stations such as TV Asahi, Fuji TV, TBS, and NHK.
