ตามที่เกิดเหตุการณ์ระเบิดในย่านบูกิตบินตังของกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์เมื่อเช้าของวันที่ ๙ ต.ค. ๒๕๕๗ นั้น
พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีหนังสือแสดงความห่วงใยถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซีย ดังนี้

“Excellency,
            I am very saddened to learn about the bombing incident in the commercial district of Bukit Bintang on 9 October 2014 which caused serious injuries to several people including one Thai national. My heartfelt sympathy goes to the innocent victims and their distressed families. I deplore such indiscriminate act of violence. I am confident, nevertheless, that under your able leadership the perpetrators of violence will quickly be brought to justice.
