ตามที่ประธานาธิบดีอินโดนีเซีย นาย Joko Widodo ได้แต่งตั้งนาย Abdurrahman Mohammad Fachir เป็นรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอินโดนีเซีย นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ จึงได้มีหนังสือแสดงความยินดีถึงรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอินโดนีเซียเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ดังนี้

                   I have the honour to extend to you my sincere congratulations upon your appointment as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

                   Thailand and Indonesia share long-standing ties of friendship.  Next year, our two countries will commemorate yet another important milestone -  the 65th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations. As large economies in ASEAN, I believe that Thailand and Indonesia stand to gain immense benefit from closer and deeper cooperation. We could also contribute considerably to the ongoing region-wide efforts to build a strong ASEAN community. I look forward to working closely with you to that end.
