Excellency,

                             On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand,
I have the honour to express, through you, my profound congratulations to His Majesty
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck
of Bhutan and the people of the Kingdom of Bhutan on the joyous occasion of the birth
of the first royal child of Their Majesties, His Royal Highness the Gyalsey.
                             With the birth of His Royal Highness, a new source of pride and joy has
doubtlessly been introduced into the lives of Bhutanese people. I wish His Royal Highness
great health and happiness in his infancy and I am certain that he will eventually become
the torchbearer of the wisdom of the Royal Family of Bhutan, which has gained the respect
not only of its own citizens but also of the international community. It is indeed Bhutan’s
great fortune that the constitutional monarchy, which has been of such great benefit to
the citizens of Bhutan, will continue to prosper.

Excellency,

                             I have the honour to convey through you my deepest and heartfelt
congratulations to His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Her Majesty
Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck as well as my best wishes to the Bhutanese people
following the momentous event of the birth of His Royal Highness the Gyalsey of Bhutan.
                             Thailand and Bhutan have long enjoyed a unique and warm friendship,
thanks to the special bond between our two monarchies. It is therefore with great pleasure
and anticipation that the people of Thailand learnt that an heir has been borne to
the Monarchy of Bhutan. Such a blessing has surely made this year a highly auspicious one
for the Bhutanese people. I humbly wish His Royal Highness alongside the constitutional
monarchy of Bhutan strength and longevity in the years to come.
